Zeppelin acquires Stapler-Rent
German rental company Zeppelin has acquired fork truck and telehandler rental specialist Stapler-Rent 2000.
Around 35 Stapler-Rent employees will transfer to Zeppelin along with around 500 machines. Stapler-Rent operates from locations in Bietigheim-Bissingen, Feldgeding near Munich and Alpen near Duisburg covering Bavaria, Baden-Wuerttemberg and North-Rhine Westphalia. The business will be fully integrated in the Zeppelin operations. The Stapler Rent sales and service business is not included in the transaction. Stapler Rent's managing director Nico Zimmer told Vertikal.Net, that his company will now focus purely on new trade and service. will operate under the new name of Staplerwelt Süd.
Zeppelin chief executive Peter Schrader said: "Stapler-Rent has been active in the market for more than 15 years. With this acquisition, we are intensifying our competitive efforts in the fork truck rental market as well as expanding our rental fleet. Stapler-Rent has developed customer relations, which perfectly complements our existing target groups."
