Quinto expands fleet
UK based rental company Quinto Crane and Plant Hire has added three new cranes to its fleet.
The additions include a 60 tonne three-axle Liebherr LTM 1060-3.1, All Terrain crane, and two Böcker truck cranes, a 42 metre AK42-4000 and 46 metre AK46-6000. Delivery will start in July with the arrival of the LTM 1060 followed by the AK42-4000 in September and the AK46-6000 in March of next year.

Quinto’s positive experience with its nine LTM 1055 was behind the purchase of the new 1060-3.1
The LTM 1060-3.1 features a 48 five section main boom and has been ordered with the 2.5 metre 18 tonne heavy duty swingaway extension, with up 10 degrees offset, and VarioBase outrigger set up system. The crane has all wheel steering and can travel in the UK with all 12.8 tonnes of counterweight on board.
The six tonne AK42-4000 is mounted on a Mercedes chassis, features a 42 metre telescopic boom, and has a maximum radius of 35 metres. Its low weight and quick set up time were deciding factors in Quinto’s purchase.

The new Bocker AK46-6000
The AK46-60000 has a maximum tip height of 46 metres with the optional two metre boom extension, with a six tonne maximum capacity at eight metres, and can take 1,000kg to 26 metres and 250kg to 39 metres, through 260 degrees. Both cranes feature Böcker's outrigger base set up system.
Quinto managing director Oliver Arnold said: “The Liebherr is a purchase based on the fact that we have around nine 55s running in the fleet at the moment, which have been good cranes, so this one represents the start of more orders to follow. I see the Böckers as a modern approach to the one lift/builder market completing two to three jobs a day. They will allow us to be competitive due to their lower initial purchase price and lower running costs.”
