Legal basis and purpose of processing personal data

The Vertikal Press only collects the very minimal data and only with your full agreement, and as required to provide the service you use, such as name and email address etc.. The vast majority of our web site can be accessed without disclosing any personal information to us whatsoever. The exceptions are those areas that naturally require it, such as registering to comment on the articles we post or subscribing to our email alerts or printed magazines. This data, although minimal, is stored securely and never sold or disclosed to third parties. Personal data that you have supplied to us will only be used for the purpose for which it was entrusted to us, and only for such a time as it is relevant.

Cookies

Our web site uses cookies to facilitate your navigation and utilisation of the web site. We have never reviewed consulted, sold or used this information, and no employee has access to it.

Security

The controller ensures that the stored data, the server access credentials and other information that is critical in terms of the security of personal data is processed confidentially and accessed only by those employees whose job requires it.

We employ a variety of technical and organisational measures to keep your personal information safe and to prevent unauthorised access to, or use, or disclosure of it. Unfortunately, no information transmission over the Internet is guaranteed 100 percent secure, nor is any storage of information always 100 percent secure, but we do take all appropriate steps to protect the security of your personal information, and only keep the most generic data that is essential to carry the services you have specifically requested.

Right of inspection and right to request rectification or deletion

In the few cases where we do collect personal data – name address and email - we are more than happy for you to change, rectify or remove it entirely at any time, either by unsubscribing to the alerts, emailing us at [email protected] or calling any of our contact numbers. Any data we do hold on you can be inspected by simply writing to us via [email protected] with proof of identity.
