Crane Roll
A six axle All Terrain crane left a single track road and rolled into a field in Scotland earlier this week
So far we have been unable to trace the exact location of the incident, which involved a six axle Liebherr All Terrain owned and operated by Ainscough Crane Hire. We understand though that it occurred on one of the single track roads around Loch ness to the south of Inverness.

Thankfully the driver was not seriously hurt
The driver was not seriously hurt, but did suffer cuts and bruises. A recovery team has now arrived, - with wrecker trucks, a larger loader crane and earthmoving equipment, not to mention airbags- and has been trying to pull the crane back up onto its wheels.

The ground is relatively rocky, which may help with the recovery

I've seen this happen near me, though the crane didn't roll right over, just sank sideways into a bog. Many of these rural roads have weak edges, and if it breaks away on one side, the top heavy crane tips over. Once it starts the driver won't be able to stop it. Active levelling air suspension might help a bit, but ultimately more caution on rural roads is required. The road needs to be quite a bit wider than the crane width, and don't even think of pulling over to let someone pass.

Still only three comments there's more comments about builders on roofs and non from the people who can't wait to slag other company's in the uk ah well just in case they need to back to them for a job possibly
Hope the operator is ok it's about time that operators and owners check the Fems regulations are adhered to for the safety of all concerned but as always WTG operators scrimp on the haul roads
They all want cheap haulage and crane rates then when it all goes wrong do they give a Sht
