Three injured in fall from forks
Three men sustained serious injuries today in Washington DC after the wooden box/crate they were working from fell from the forks of a telehandler
According to the emergency services the men were working on an office building project in the 4500 block of Macarthur Boulevard in the city's North West. They were patching the third storey façade wall with three new concrete blocks when the men congreted at one end of the box and slipped off the forks, dropping them around seven metres to the ground.

The men were working from the box on the forks of a telehandler
They were rushed to various hospitals and are reported to be in serious to critical condition. We will update when we learn more.
Blimey - Who'd have thought such a terrible accident could have happened with 3 man in a box on forks in the air on a telehandler... Its almost as if they shoes the wrong equipment to work with - I wonder what was in their training / risk assessment / method statement..
OK sarcasm over - hate to think they actually got badly hurt - so here's to a speedy recovery and hope they learned a valuable lesson !
