45m Multitel for Berti

Italian rental company Berti Piattaforme has taken delivery of a 45 metre Multitel MJ 450 truck mounted platform.

Mounted on a 32 tonne Scania chassis, the MJ 450 offers a maximum outreach of 32.2 metres with a 120kg platform capacity, 30.3 metres with 300kg and 26.7 metres with its maximum 500kg platform capacity. Replacing a 40 metre unit that has been in the fleet for the more than 20 years, it has been ordered with a winch and boom nose system that can replace the platform basket in order to create a light duty crane. Its first job was on the construction of a new sports facility.

Based in Concorezzo, Berti has a fleet of more than 280 self-propelled aerial work platforms plus 30 truck mounted lifts with working heights from 30 to 85 metres. The company purchased its first Multitel in 1984 and has added more than 50 more platforms to its fleet over the years.
