Belgium's first AC 7450-1
Belgian crane rental company Gheysens has taken delivery of the first 450 tonne Tadano AC 7450-1 in Belgium.
The new crane was ordered along with a 160 tonne AC 5.160-1 and 250 tonne AC 5.250-1.
The seven axle crane is equipped with a seven section 80 metre main boom. Gheysens ordered the crane with the full 81 metre luffing jib and the enhanced SSL Sideways Superlift system, in which the Superlift arms are mounted at the front of the boom nose, allowing them to be longer, for better lifting capacities. Gheysens also specified aluminium rims allowing the crane to travel within a 12 tonne axle loads with the three sheave hook block on board.

Gheysens’ new seven axle Tadano
Managing director Miguel Gheysens took delivery of the new crane in person and said: “The Tadano AC 7.450-1 fascinated me from the get-go. It’s a pretty incredible piece of machinery: compact like a six axle crane and yet more powerful than some eight axle units out there when using certain boom positions. To tell you the truth, we’re very proud of having this one in our fleet.”

It's good to see the Gheysens doing well, they have a great attitude towards the industry.
