Northern depot for Manitowoc UK

Manitowoc UK has opened a second after sales support facility in Barnsley, South Yorkshire northern England.

The new 2,750 square metre facility includes a workshop building and yard and will serve as a base for the technicians in the area. It will include a replacement parts inventory and service support for Grove mobile crane customers throughout northern England, Wales, and Scotland, as well as handling any sales support enquires for Potain cranes in the region.

The company’s facility in Buckingham, southern England, will focus its aftermarket operations on central and southern regions of England for Grove cranes, while retaining UK wide responsibility for Potain tower cranes.

Pier Domenico Ravera Manitowoc UK general manager and vice president of mobile crane sales in Western Europe said: “We are continuing to expand our support in the UK, so it makes sense to invest in this new facility to bring us closer to customers and other crane rental companies in the area. Over the past two years, we have hired a number of highly skilled technicians to continue delivering the best support in the UK. This move is part of Manitowoc’s worldwide expansion plans for its aftermarket support organisation.”

“In addition to offering parts, maintenance, and service, the Barnsley depot will act as a local hub for used crane inquiries. We have one of the most extensive used crane networks in the world and is a great option for customers looking to refresh or expand their fleet.”

Vertikal Editor: How about removing the thumbs down feature? That way it would stop the trolls spreading their misery. If they disapprove of a story they could then write a comment assuming it’s not too much effort for them to do so. Thoughts…?

Another milestone on Grove's return journey to the UK market. Obviously I'm biased, but very proud of what the Manitowoc teams have achieved over the past couple of years.

There are unfortunately some sad people out there .. we should perhaps feel sorry for, they must lead lives that are lacking in happiness?

A friendly invitation.
Yet 27 trolls (and counting) give it a thumbs down.

Amazing.
