Five weeks until Vertikal Days

Vertikal Days 2012 is just five weeks away, the space is all but sold out and the range of equipment launches is shaping up to make this by far the best ever.

In fact with companies still applying for space, it is almost certain to be the largest crane or access equipment display in Europe this year – in terms of both the number and range of machines on show and the number of manufacturers represented.

We are currently working on the guide to the show which highlights the fact that more than a dozen crane manufacturers will be represented, along with 33 powered access companies, a number of mobile scaffold tower producers, several mast climber and hoist companies and so far eight telehandler manufacturers. All this in addition to dozens of ancillary equipment and associated service suppliers of everything from safety electronics and systems to training courses.

There are also a number of seminars and meetings over the two days, including the UK Strategic Forum Plant Safety Group open meeting and the ALLMI Operators Forum for all those who use loader cranes. If you fancy yourself as a loader crane operator, there is also the ALLMI Operator of the Year completion with a £250 cash prize and finally … for now Terex Cranes is putting up one of its massive CC8800 scale models for auction in aid of charity. Postal or ‘silent bids’ will be encouraged with a live auction organised for the evening of Wednesday 27th June.

Barry Miles the caterer is back with a larger team than ever, to cope with the extra visitors and exhibitors.
