103 metre lift for Vertikal Days
Skyking, the UK distributor for Palfinger Platforms has announced that it will show a 103 metre WT1000 aerial work platform at this year’s Vertikal Days.
The 103 metre platform is the first to be purchased by an English access rental company and is said to be part of a larger commitment for deliveries this year. Richard Bryant of Skyking said: “We are going to keep the owners identity ‘wrapped up’ until the show on the 22nd June where the platform will be unveiled.”

The WT 1000 offers 600kg platform capacity and a maximum outreach of 36 metres. The carrier’s stabilisers are controlled on both sides of the vehicle by a multifunction graphic display on the control panel and come equipped with an outrigger position monitor and a ground pressure indicator.
Vertikal Comment
This is not the first time a WT1000 has appeared at Vertikal Days, Irish based McNally displayed its unit two years ago but it was called out on an emergency wind turbine job and had to leave early, after arriving late. This one though has not yet been delivered and will remain for the show.
As to whom the new owner is? This is a closely kept secret and to be honest we have no idea, the company that has been rumoured to have looked at the WT1000 repeatedly is Blade Access- is this for them? Or another rental company Or a big end-user? We will know on the day. Skyking is saying nothing.
