CICA confirms new board

The Crane Industry Council of Australia (CICA) has confirmed the 2012/1013 board, following elections at the Council’s Adelaide convention earlier this month.

Alan Marshall, CICA’s chief executive said: “It is worth noting that the CICA Board continues as a strong team, led by president John Gillespie and vice president Danny Black, who were both re-elected at the September board meeting.

“As a member-based, not-for-profit industry association, the AGM is an important part of CICA’s commitment and active reporting to our members, in addition to achieving compliance and governance requirements. This year’s meeting involved some robust discussions, which demonstrated the importance of the meeting in our annual program.”

The CICA board now comprises:

Bart Sutherland
Jeff Sibbick
Cheryl Daley
Jeff Brundell
Ray Brenton

Gillespie added: “I am pleased that three new directors have joined the CICA board as part of the 2012 board elections. Our new directors are Bart Sutherland of Complete Crane Hire, Jeff Sibbick of LSI /Robway and Cheryl Daley of Boom Logistics. CICA now also has two female directors, improving our diversity which can only be a plus factor.

Dean Short has stepped down from the Board during the year, and I take this opportunity to publicly thank Dean on behalf of all members for his contribution. Jeff Brundell and Ray Brenton have accepted the board’s offer to continue on as appointed directors for another year,”
