Ruthmann moves into Australia
German truck mounted lift manufacturer Ruthmann has appointed Australian based truck mounted lift manufacturer Nifty-Lift as its distributor for Australia and New Zealand.
The company, established in 1991, has no connection with the self-propelled lift manufacturer Niftylift. It is based in Kilsyth, to the east of Melbourne, Victoria and produces a wide range of vehicle mounted and insulated platforms. It will now sell and service Ruthmann Steiger lifts throughout Australia and New Zealand.
To kick off the partnership Nifty-Lift has ordered two 46 metre T 460 truck mounted platforms, which will ship shortly. Nifty-Lift will also provide Ruthmann owners with a range of customer services, including training, maintenance, testing and repairs.

Nifty-Lift’s managing director Graeme Boucher said: “To develop new markets you need the right partners and the right products. With Ruthmann we have found both. We now have the ability to offer our customers an extended range of professional truck mounted aerial work platforms with working heights up to 100 metres. At the moment we carry work platforms with working heights to 26 metres.”
