Safety features include Sterling’s extendible guardrail and walkway system which folds out to allow the driver safe access past full width machines on the deck, self-cleaning high grip Gridlock decking, and an LED deck lighting system that provides illumination to the edges of the deck for safe loading at night. The trucks are able to carry up to 19 tonnes of equipment in a single load.
The first vehicle was delivered to the company’s Haydock depot, while the second will go to the Wakefield depot.
