New access company takes three

A new German access company, HK Aerial Work Platforms, has taken delivery of two Oil & Steel truck mounted lifts and a spider lift.

The order comprises a 20 metre Snake 2010, an 18 metre Scorpion 1819 truck mount lift and a 14 metre Octopussy 1402 tracked spider lift. Both the Snake and Scorpion models are mounted on 3.5 tonne Nissan Cabstar chassis and offer 10 and 12 metres outreach respectively. Weighing 1,900kg the Octopussy has a maximum outreach of 6.5 metres. All three machines offer 360 degree continuous slew with their maximum platform capacity of 200kg.

HK owner Marko Högg said: “I originally wanted to buy a second hand machine for my fleet but that was before I paid a visit to the Oil & Steel stand at Bauma. Having looked at the models on display and spoke with sales manager Klaus Niemes, I was convinced to buy the new machines.”

HK's new Snake 2010, Scorpion 1819 and Octopussy 1402 aerial lifts

Based in Reutlingen, the new company is owned by Högg, who is co-owner of road safety equipment company Högg & Ziegler. It will officially open for business at the start of the new year.
