IPAF produces good practice guide
The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) has produced a good practice guide for rental companies and contractors on how to manage aerial work platforms.
Produced in consultation with manufacturers, contractors, rental companies, the “Management of MEWPs – Good Practice for Rental Companies and Contractors” guide provides a list of key points that should be considered when managing any type of aerial work platform. It also guides rental companies and contractors through the entire process from planning and ordering equipment, right up to the point of delivery and during operation.
Following demand for guidance on “large and complex” aerial work platforms IPAF decided that the key principles of good aerial platform management was relevant to all types, not just limited to larger and more complex machines.
