Terex upgrade the AC55
Terex will launch the AC55-1 at Intermat in Paris next April. The improvements over the AC55 include a new boom telescope system, which retains its full power feature for fast extension but it is substantially lighter than that of the AC55. The lighter boom offers some handy lifting capacity improvements, particularly at mid range radii and lower axle weights.

The Terex ACC55-1
The boom length of 40 metres remains, but a new hydraulically offsettable swingaway boom extension, with a length of eight or 15 metres is now available.
Terex claim that its full power boom provides a 50 percent faster extension time to full height, compared to a pinned boom. While also allowing full telescoping of loads.
The AC 55-1 can travel with; 16:00 tires, a 5.15 tonne counterweight, 15 metre boom extension and hook blocks while still offerring 12 tonne axle weights.
