Stirnimann celebrates 100

Stirnimann the Grove, Potain, and JLG distributor for Switzertland has celebrated its 100th anniversary with an open house for customers, suppliers and staff at its premises in Olten.

Around 2,000 visitors attended the event - including many senior managers from Manitowoc - which included demonstrations of the company’s products, including the new 250 tonne Grove GMK5250L All Terrain crane.

Stirnimann has worked with Grove since 1969 and has been Potain’s official Swiss dealer for more than 25 years and was recently appointed Potain dealer in Austria. The company also runs an extensive rental fleet and now employs 125 across three branches in Switzerland.

Managing director Fritz Oschwald said: “We were proud to be able to display Grove’s brand new GMK5250L crane at the event, we received strong interest in it from our customers.”
