Cummins consolidates in Singapore
Cummins has opened a global logistics centre in Singapore after consolidating three distribution centres into one.
The £3.4 million logistics centre – one of eight Cummins logistics centres – will provide parts and filters to markets around the world, including the US, Europe, China, India as well as Northeast and Southeast Asia.
Doug Sunkel, Cummins global logistics executive director, said: "The establishment of this logistics centre in Singapore is a reinforcement of our global master distribution hub strategy and a reflection of our commitment to customers. There are currently eight master distribution hubs supporting our international network and customers' businesses that span over 190 countries and territories. Singapore is a world-class global logistics hub with a strong advantage of being at the heart of Southeast Asia and sitting right across the major shipping lanes.”
