PM opens in the Middle East

Italian loader crane and aerial lift manufacturer PM Group, has opened a new subsidiary in the Jebel Ali Free Zone in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The initiative is intended to strengthen the group’s presence in the Middle East and East African region in terms of sales, marketing and service support for local partners and customers. As part of Manitex, the new base will also represent , Valla pick & carry cranes, Badger Rough Terrain cranes and Manitex boom trucks and truck cranes in addition to PM loader cranes and Oil & Steel work platforms.

In addition to sales and service support staff, the new location also includes a spare parts inventory for fast moving items. And further storage space for whole goods. The company already has wholly owned subsidiaries located in Spain, France, the UK, Germany, Singapore, Argentina, Chile and Mexico. North America is now handled by Manitex.

PM chief executive Luigi Fucili said: "The Middle East market is extremely dynamic and presents a strong demand of lifting solutions equipment mainly due to the growth of many sectors especially the construction industry. For this reason a reliable on site based reference point to better serve this market has become necessary and will bring us closer to our customers’ needs”.

This has led the company to enhance the identity of its brands, PM and Oil & Steel, in many areas outside Europe and now being part of Manitex, also the other top brands in our Crane division such as Manitex, Badger and Valla".
