New forestry crane from Hiab

Hiab has announced two new loader cranes designed for forestry applications - the Loglift 140Z and 150Z.

The new cranes, unveiled at Germany’s KWF exhibition, feature load moments of 14 and 15 tonne/metres respectively, and feature hydraulic pilot controls, Hiab’s SafetyPlus system with external display – providing full crane performance data, hose link guard protection to deflect tree limb impacts, while allowing fast changing of any damaged hoses, and special ‘nDurance’ paint protection.

Hiab's new 140Z loader crane

Loglift senior manager Toni Ahvenlampi said: “We have designed several new features for these new forestry cranes to ensure that our customers can do their best in rugged conditions. With hydraulic pilot control smooth and easy operation as well as precise control over crane movements is possible regardless of whether the control device is conventional or joystick. We also designed new seat to ensure better safety, ergonomics and visibility.”
