Four more Unics for Norway
Norwegian rental company Kranentreprenøren has taken delivery of four new Unic spider cranes as part of a fleet expansion programme.
The order, agreed at Bauma with Unic’s dealer for Norway Knusten Maskin, consists of two 2.9 tonne URW-295s, one four tonne URW-547 and a six tonne URW-706. Each of the new cranes feature diesel/400v electric dual power systems, and are radio remote controlled. The 547 and 706 models are also equipped with working area slew limiters, specified with power plant applications in mind. The latest order follows a URW-547 purchased earlier this year.

Based in Oslo, Kranentreprenøren has was established over 40 years and runs a fleet of 25 cranes, including Maeda mini crawlers, Unic spider cranes, mobile cranes, truck mounted lifts, and glass handlers.
Anders Kiel of Knutsen Maskin said: “It’s delightful to see that Odd Moen -general manager of Kranentreprenøren - has come back, purchasing four additional cranes only a year after he bought a 547. For us this is a proof that we are working in the right direction. Both the cranes and the market for mini cranes in Norway are getting better and better.”
