Crushing fatality in Melbourne
A man died at a job site in Melbourne, Australia, on Tuesday, apparently due to a crushing incident while using a boom lift.
The incident occurred on the extension to the Melbourne Convention Centre, being built by Probuild. The man, 54 is reportedly employed by Stilcon, a steel erection company that also runs and a crane and access rental operation. According to police reports the man was crushed against the steelwork of the building. An investigation in to what happened is currently underway.
