Liebherr's new facility in Dammam
The company has had a presence in Dammam for the past 12 years, but had outgrown its old offices in rented buildings. The new complex in Dammam took 14 months to build, with the facilities providing more warehousing space for spare parts and larger cranes. The new buildings will house sales and service staff covering All Terrain and crawler/foundation cranes, tower cranes and concrete divisions. Around 30 staff will be based at the new site.

The new workshops
Saudi Arabia is one of the main markets for Liebherr in the Middle East, the company has had employees based there for 35 years. Its headquarters are located in Jeddah on the west coast, with offices in the capital Riyadh. Even with the current lower investment levels due to the low price of oil, the company felt that the new facilities were necessary to keep up with its long term growth.
Manager of All Terrain cranes in Saudi Arabia Markus Burgstall said: "Repairs, after-sales service using genuine parts, washing and testing – we can now provide our customers with a complete care-free package."

hairy
We believe Liebherr's timing couldn't have been worse! Saudis are about to run out of money and most of those vanity projects (which their economy is based along oil) are going to be suspended!
