Tower crane erector injured
A man was seriously injured yesterday after falling while erecting a tower crane on a construction site in central Montreal, Canada.
The man - said to be in his late 20S or early 30s -suffered serious head and had injuries after falling around five metres from the base tower section. He was rushed to hospital where his condition is said to be serious. It is not known if he was wearing a harness or was tied off at the time. The erection of the tower crane had only just begun earlier yesterday morning.

Inspectors from the Commission des normes, de l’équité, de la santé et de la sécurité du travail (CNESST) were called in to investigate.
