Crane operator falls from crane
A crane operator employed by subcontractor Billington Structures has fallen from his crane on the £25 million paint plant site for BAE Systems in Barrow, Cumbria, UK being built by Sir Robert McAlpine. The man in his 40s was taken to Furness General Hospital following the incident on Wednesday afternoon.
Contractor Sir Robert McAlpine said: "The safety of all our workers on site is our highest priority and together with Billington Structures we have started an investigation into the cause of this accident".
