William Towner R.I.P
We have received the belated news that Bill Towner of Rapid Access, Oman has died after suffering a heart attack.
Towner was country manager of Rapid Access Oman, and passed away on the 23rd November following a sudden heart attack. Rapid is the Middle East operation of the Lavendon group.
Towner joined the Lavendon group in 2003, when he took a post as a project at the group’s UK operation Nationwide Platforms. In 2006 he became a senior sales executive focusing on projects for the London West/Heathrow region. He was then promoted to business development manager on the Olympics Consortium in 2011. He and his wife Jane then decided to transfer to the Gulf in 2013, to take up the role at Rapid Access Oman.

The company said: "Bill was very much the ‘father’ of the Oman operation and had the ability to build great relationships with everyone he met. He was dedicated to ensuring that he did the right thing for his team and was respected deeply by the Oman team and the wider Rapid community."
Towner's funeral will take place on Thursday 14th December at St Bernard's Church in Lingfield, Surrey at 12pm. His wife Jane has said that friends and colleagues are welcome to attend the funeral.
