A spider lift overturned onto a bus in Glasgow, Scotland last night injuring the operator.

The bus either clipped the spider lift's riser as it pulled into the stop, or there just happened to be a ground related issue just as the bus pulled in. The platform's basket came to rest well above the ground as the boom landed on the bus and bus shelter roof. According to the police the man in the platform, who was employed by Conservation Masonry, was injured, but not seriously, suggesting that he was wearing as harness and short lanyard and managed to remain in the platform.
