Sennebogen 6113 E for Dubai

Dubai based contractor and equipment distributor Al Naboodah Group Enterprises has taken delivery of 120 tonne Sennebogen 6113 E telescopic crawler crane, to carry out work pressing 14 km of water, sewage pipes and other supply pipes into the ground, via a trenchless micro tunnelling process in the Khawaneej area of Dubai, to the east of the international airport.

The Sennbogen 6113E went straight to work on a micro tunnelling contract in Khawaneej area of Dubai

The crane has a four section, 40 metre, full power boom and has been specified with the basic eight metre swingaway extension. It will be on site until 2020, and is being used for a variety of jobs, including lifting the drill head and the pipe jacking machine, weighing up to 30 tonnes- into the starting shaft as well as lifting the pipe sections and removing the excavated material.

Construction site foreman Srinivas said: "We are lifting constantly changing loads with different boom lengths. The machine is very flexible when it comes to adjusting we can lift varying loads in a very short space of time, which really speeds up progress on site."
