New Deutz supervisory board chairman
Deutz has announced that Bernd Bohr will take over as chairman of its supervisory board on 1st January. He succeeds Hans-Georg Härter, who steps down at the end of the year.
Bohr became a member of the supervisory board earlier this year. The self employed management consultant was chairman of the automotive equipment division of Robert Bosch for 15 years, and has been a member of various supervisory bodies.
He began his career with the Bosch Group in 1983 where he worked in production engineering, before being promoted to director of the division three years later. In 1989 he became assistant to the executive board of of Robert Bosch, and four years later moved to Bosch’s Nippon division, a predecessor of Bosch Braking Systems, where he was executive vice president of manufacturing for three years. In 1998, he was appointed executive vice president of development worldwide of the anti-lock braking and braking systems division. He then went on to become non-executive director of Motor Industries in 2003, remained as a non-executive director of Bosch until 2013.

Chief executive Frank Hiller said: “Under Mr Härter's chairmanship, Deutz was able to establish important steps forward, in particular the entry into electrical power units with the E-Deutz strategy. We thank him very much for his dedicated and purposeful work and are pleased that he continues to support the company in an advisory capacity.”
