Scissor lift fatality

One man has died and another is in critical condition after an incident involving a scissor lift in Irving, Texas, earlier this month.

Information is still sketchy, but a police statement said that two pieces of equipment, one of which is said to be a scissor lift, collided at the Frito-Lay factory in the town on October 4th. The deceased, named as Hernan Murillo, fell around 10 metres as did Francisco Salazar Contreras and Jose Javier, one of them is in critical condition, while the other has serious, but not life threatening, injuries.

All three are said to be in their 30s and were employed by Walker Engineering, which was carrying out construction work in the plant.

The incident has only come to light today, we will update this item as we learn more.
