New UpRight podium steps

Aluminium scaffold tower and low level work platform manufacturer Instant UpRight has added an adjustable height podium platform to its range of low level platforms.

Weighing just 230kg, the X400 offers a maximum working height of four metres and a platform capacity of 150kg. A patented gas spring system is used to incrementally adjust the height of the platform, while an ‘anti-surf’ braking system automatically engages when in use. It has a stowed height of 975mm with an overall width of 720mm.

Instant Upright's new adjustable height podium platform

A wind rated version is also available - the X400S - offering the same capabilities but with the addition of two rear foldout stabilisers which increases the working footprint to 1.5 metres by 1.66 metres.

Head of sales David McCormack said: "The X400 is simple to operate, extremely compact and manoeuvrable and provides a safe alternative to ladders, steps and regular podiums. It is a fitting addition to our range of low level platforms and is already on order for the French market. We see a strong future for this simple but safe alternative to ladders in the market."
