Engineering director for ELS

Turkish aerial lift manufacturer ELS Lift has appointed Koray Erkekli as engineering director as it looks to expand its product range with the development of a new boom lift and scissor lift series.

In his new role he will be responsible for the research and development department and will also work with both ELS and MST/Sanko engineers to develop a new boom lift and large scissor range that it plans to unveil later this year.

Erkekli originally joined ELS in 2017 as research and development product manager, playing a significant part in the development of six new boom and scissor lifts as well as improving a number of existing models. In 2019, he moved to component and electronics manufacturer Trionic Mobility System - France as the company’s project manager for the Chinese aerial work platform market.

ELS Lift has appointed Koray Erkekli as engineering director

Erkekli began his career in 2005 in the research & development department of hydraulics and machinery supplier Altan Hidrolik, moving to components company Farmtrak Makina in 2011, leaving after three and a half years to further his studies, starting with ELS after completing his course.

Erkekli, said: “My main target is to make ELS Lift one of the best producers of aerial work platforms from a technical perspective. It is also important to ensure that they are user friendly for our customers and users. Currently, we are working on two projects for new boom and a scissor lifts which we are hoping to announce by the end of the year.”

ELS export manager, Alistair Palacioglu, added: “I am very excited to have Koray leading up product research and development at ELS Lift. He has been working very closely with a lot of manufactures through his previous position in Trionic Mobility Systems and has a good scope into global trends. He was also responsible for designing our EL scissor, mast and low level series, which our customers have come to favour due to their reliability, quality and price point. ELS Lift is building a very strong team and Koray will be key for us in moving in the new direction.”
