46ft Genie scissors for Midland

UK rental company Midland Access Platforms has taken delivery of its first two 46ft Genie GS-4655 slab electric scissor lifts, from Genie dealer Workplatform.

The GS-4655 offers direct electric drive and an internal working height of almost 16 metres, and up to 8.55 metres when working externally. Platform capacity is 350kg with up to three occupants when working inside in no wind conditions, or two when outside.

Midland Access collects its first two Genie GS-4655 from dealer Workplatform

Midland Access managing director Steve Beynon said: “I have been buying Genie units from Jonathan Hull at Workplatform for over 20 years and it’s not only the great features and reliability of the Genie product that keeps me coming back, it’s also the rock solid residual values and how easy they are to sell second hand. Ease of disposal and low cost of ownership is something that Jonathan always reminds me of and now after 20 plus years I can honestly say that the appetite for used Genie machines is like no other brand.”

Jonathan Hull of Workplatform added: “These are the first GS-4655s that we have supplied so far, and I am really pleased that they are going to a loyal Genie customer like Midland Access Platforms.”

Midland Access is based in Leicester and runs a fleet of diesel and electric powered scissor lifts and articulated booms with working heights up to 21 metres.
