Oil&Steels for UK
UK sales and rental company Hird has taken delivery of its first Oil&Steel truck mounted platforms after being appointed as UK distributor last year – see:
New UK and Ireland distributor for O&S.
The company took delivery of a 20 metre Snake 2010H Plus and a 19.9 metre Scorpion 2013 as it looks to reintroduce the Oil&Steel brand back into the UK after a number of years without an appointed dealer. Mounted on a 3.5 tonne Iveco chassis, the Snake 2010 provides an outreach of 10.2 metres and has a maximum platform capacity of 200kg. The Scorpion 2013 has also been mounted on an 3.5 tonne Iveco and provides a maximum outreach of 12.5 metres with a platform capacity of 80kg, or 8.5 metres of outreach with its maximum 250kg capacity.
The company says it sees a growing demand for truck mount platforms due to the 5G roll out, the management of ash dieback, and property managers/developers seeking cost effective methods of carrying out maintenance and construction.
