Sunbelt adds ZTR to access fleet

Sunbelt Rentals in the UK is to install ZTR access management software and telematics in its entire powered access fleet.

The company is investing almost £1 million to retrofit the software and keypads to every machine it owns and will also offer its customers a complete user interface within its recently launched customer portal or ‘Command Centre’. The telematics data from each machine will feed directly into the portal, providing site managers with full tracking and visibility in order to help increase efficiency and operator safety while reducing incidents and near misses. They can also link in IPAF PAL cards to an operator’s profile or assign a unique keypad code that can be added to groups of machines, individual assets and/or specific operators.

Sunbelt’s director of operational excellence Mick Ledden said: “We will address these challenges with our new powered access telemetry programme by offering sustainable and safe products which will ultimately elevate standards industry wide. We’re not just rolling out this programme in fits and starts and it won’t be limited to retrofits. It will be the OEM standard as new powered access machines join our fleet.
