130t Liebherr for RMT
German crane and heavy haulage company RMT Albert Regel Logistik has taken delivery of a 130 tonne Liebherr LTM 1130-5.1 All Terrain crane.
Replacing a 23 year old 120 tonne LTM 1120, the new five axle LTM 1130-5.1 features a 60 metre main boom plus up to 33 metres lattice extension and has been supplied with a second winch and a heavy duty jib. Its first job will be to assist with the erection of a multi storey office building in Stuttgart.
Managing partner Frank George said: “The LTM 1120 was a powerful and reliable crane that experienced very few problems throughout its 23 years of service. However, its 45 metre telescopic boom was limited in terms of lifting height. So we are looking forward to the 60 metre boom of the LTM 1130-5.1, which is also an awesome crane in its class. Given the large numbers of orders we have involving the assembly of prefabricated concrete elements, we also ordered a second winch and a heavy duty jib so we can turn parts in the air without any problem.”
