Ausa teams up with Riwal in Netherlands

Spanish Rough Terrain forklift and telehandler manufacturer Ausa has appointed Riwal Hoogwerkers as a dealer in the Netherlands, with a focus on rental companies and construction sales.

Riwal says that it is seeing growing demand for compact machines in the Netherlands and that the Ausa product line is an ideal new product to run alongside its JLG dealership. Sales manager Wilco Stout said: “The Ausa product range perfectly complements the JLG range and aligns seamlessly with our criteria for providing high quality products and an excellent level of service. We will serve the rental industry, where customers can experience the versatile use of the Ausa machines.”

The new appointment is in partnership with the existing Ausa distributor Notenboom Techniek, which acts as the official importer, and comes just 18 months after JLG agreed a 10 year badging and supply deal with Ausa for the USA - see: Ausa to build JLG compact telehandler.

Vertikal Comment

This looks like a good move for Riwal and Ausa alike, one wonders if there was any consideration given to badging the Riwal machines as JLG, to differentiate the Riwal offering from the other dealers in the Netherlands? Riwal will reach another type of customer than other dealers in the network, and should do well with the product line. Perhaps if all goes well it will add Ausa products to its other operations around Europe?
