Platforms return to Hohenroda
This week the third Innovationstage der Höhenzugangstechnik event was held in Hohenroda, Germany.
The event, which ran on Tuesday and Wednesday, brings aerial work platforms back to the Hessen Hotel Park, the traditional venue for Platformers' Days, which will be held at an all new venue in Karlsruhe this September - see:

OK it’s certainly no Platformers' Days, but good to see the return of such an event
The much smaller, even more informal Innovationstage – Innovations Days – was first held in 2018 and is now the first event for lifting equipment in Germany since the last one in 2019.
Around 40 exhibitors attended the event with their latest machines or services. Clearly a Platformers' Days it is not, however it could well grow over the next few years, depending on how well Platformers' Days does at its new venue.

Most exhibitors restricted their outdoor displays to a single machine, while some had a second unit in the hall. Admission to the showground was restricted to those from the 3-G group - recovered, fully vaccinated or with a recent negative test.

In the outside area life seemed almost normal, with palpable joy expressed at long awaited reunions, although a good few were initially apprehensive over whether to hug, shake hands or do a 'Corona' fist bump. In most cases, the uncertainty ended with a friendly handshake, just like the good old days. Inside it was a different picture, with everyone wearing a mask, thanks to a security official at the door reminding everyone that masks were compulsory indoors. People reacted good naturedly, only too happy to get together and meet up again.
