HBC-Radiomatic looks to autonomous controls
German radio remote control specialist HBC-Radiomatic has formed a development partnership with German technology and autonomous control manufacturer Reichhardt Steuerungstechnik, to develop combined manual and autonomous control systems for self-propelled machines.
Reichhardt has a strong presence in the agricultural market with products such as Smart Farmer and autonomous steering controls for tractors and combine harvesters etc... while HBC-Radiomatic has substantial expertise with manual remote controls. The two companies began talking last year and quickly realised the potential benefits of working together. They will initially focus on machines for the agricultural and municipal markets, but there are potential benefits for cranes, telehandlers and aerial lifts in the future.
