45t city with E-Pack for Hack

German crane company Hack Schwerlastservice has taken delivery of a Tadano AC 3.045-1 city type All Terrain crane with optional E-Pack remote electric power pack.

The new AC3.045-1

The three axle compact crane features a 31.2 metre five section boom with the option of a 7.1 to 13 metres extension with up to 30 degrees of offset and a maximum tip height of 47 metres. The crane has a fully equipped weight of 34 tonnes, falling within 12 tonne maximum axle loads, it is also possible to configure it with 10 axle loads by reducing the counterweight and removing the extension. All three axles steer and drive with six steering configurations. Other features include remote controls, the IC 1 Plus crane control system and Flex Base variable outrigger set up with automatic sensing and load chart generation.

The new crane will spend a good deal of its time working indoors

Owners Werner and Udo Hack said: “Right now, we have two AC 40 City cranes and one AC 30 City hard at work, and that’s exactly how we know that their performance characteristics are no laughing matter. We also know that the AC 3.045 City is their state of the art successor and that it raises the bar everywhere where it matters, so it really was only a matter of time before we got one.”
