Singapore’s first GR-1000EX-4s

Singapore-based LH Construction & Machinery Leasing, part of the Lian Hup Brothers Group, has taken delivery of two 100 tonne Tadano GR-1000EX-4 Rough Terrain cranes, the first units in Singapore. The cranes were purchased through local Tadano distributor Multico.

The first two Tadano GR-1000EX-4 in Singapore

Lian Hup supplies a range of heavy equipment, trucks and other vehicles to contractors and engineering groups in the building, transportation construction and maintenance industries.

The GR-1000EX-4 has a 51 metre five section boom with a twin cylinder telescope system - one cylinder extends the first section, while the other extends the rest, providing a telescope time from fully retracted to fully extended of 170 seconds. It also features the two position 11.2 tonne Smart Counterweight system which is said to increase capacities at longer reach, such as taking the capacity at a 42 metre radius from 900kg to 1.1 tonnes. Dimensionally the 100 tonner has an overall height of just under 3.8 metres, an overall width of 3.35 metres and an overall length of just under 15.2 metres. The all-up weight of 55 tonnes also makes it relatively easy to transport.
