230 tonner for Soliman
French crane rental company Soliman Levage has taken delivery of a new 230 tonne Liebherr LTM 1230-5.1 All Terrain crane.
The five axle, single engined crane features an eight section 75 metre main boom and a 11.5 to 20 metre bi-fold swingaway for a maximum tip height of around 97 metres with a maximum radius of up to 76 metres. The company has also taken the eight to 43 extension, which can offset by 22.5 and 45 degrees, and can be used in place of the swingaway to provide a maximum tip height of 113 metres.

Commercial manger Enzo Gigante said: “We decided on the LTM 1230-5.1 from Liebherr because of its great boom length, versatility and high performance. The 230 tonne model features a very long 75 metre telescopic boom. This can also be combined with a 43 metre fixed jib. That makes high radii possible, for example for lifting loads over buildings. The crane fits perfectly in the heavy load cranes within our fleet.”
Soliman was founded in 1984 and is based in Lille, north eastern France, it runs 26 cranes with 41 employees from three locations, two in the greater Lille region plus a branch in Amiens.
