13 new cranes for MSG
German crane rental company MSG Krandienst has purchased 13 new cranes from Liebherr including an 800 tonne LTM 1750-9.1.
The rest of the order includes: one LTC 1050-3.1 City type All Terrain and 11 other regular All Terrains - five 60 tonne three axle LTM 1060-3.1, four 90 tonne four axle LTM 1090-4.2 and two 230 tonne five axle LTM 1230-5.1. The new cranes will partly replace older three axle models, but will also take the MSG fleet to 50 units, while the nine axle LTM 1750-3.1 becomes its new ‘flagship crane’, topping its 700 tonne Liebherr LTM 1650-8.1.

The LTM 1750-91 hand over
Discussing the rationale behind his buying decision, managing director Bjoern Jatz said: "Above all, we wanted to standardise our three and four axle crane class. For our drivers, switching between Liebherr cranes is much easier because they all have the same control system. We can also create significant synergies in the workshop.”
"Future markets in infrastructure, bridge construction and renewable energy will come into focus and offer a lot of potential. That's why we decided to purchase the new the LTM 1750-9.1 for these areas. It will perfectly complement our existing heavy cranes, which include the LTM 1450-8.1 and LTM 1650-8.1.”
"The LTM 1750-9.1 is the most powerful crane in its class and the 800 tonne upgrade makes it even more capable. The machine is technically state of the art and prepares us very well for the future. The VarioBase and VarioBallast technology, the machine design and the excellent value of the Liebherr cranes convinced us."
