Terex adds to TRT range
Terex has launched the 65 tonne TRT 65 Rough Terrain crane, the fourth model in its TRT range, the crane will make its first outing at the Samoter Fair this week.

The new crane features a 43.5 mere five section synchronised main boom to which an eight metre to 15 metre-bi-fold swingaway extension can be added with up to 40 degrees of offset, and a maximum tip height of 61 metres. The crane is rated at 2.5 metres and handles 6-0 tonnes at three metres, capacity on the fully extended main booms is 10.1 tonnes, and it lift 400kg at the maximum radius of 38 metres.

Power comes from a Cummins Stage 5/Tier 4F diesel, driving a Powershift transmission with two modes, - manual mode with three speeds forward and three speeds reverse or automatic mode with six speeds forward and three speeds reverse. Finally, an extra-wide, tilting cab offers a larger glazed area and improved comfort for the operator.

Stefania D’Apoli, senior sales support manager for RT cranes said: “This new crane is an ideal example of our TRT cranes, since it features the new generation of the Terex Operating System (TEOS). This technology improves usability and information flow using a new, 10’’ full-colour touch screen display with an intuitive interface. New features include the possibility to have a camera embedded in the touchscreen screen, enabling the operator to watch directly from the TEOS display.”
