Almac celebrates 10 years
Italian tracked scissor, boom lift crane and tracked carrier manufacturer Alama/ AlmaCrawler is celebrating 10 years in business with an open day at its main production facility in Viadana, near Parma. The company began building its unique tracked scissor lifts on October 1st 2013. Since then, it has delivered more than 4,000 units to 35 countries selling through 38 partners or distributors, many of whom attended the event.

The first Almac – a Bibi 510 from 2013
The company showed off its full product range with demonstrations, presentations and plant tours. A key new product on display was the 26ft Bibi 1090-BL Primo all electric tracked scissor lift, with a 10 metre working height, an overall width of 1.46 to 1.64 metres with tracks fully extended, it can level up on slopes of 14 degrees laterally or 20 degrees longitudinally – manually or dynamically.

Other features include direct electric drive and a choice of Lithium ion battery pack to keep the overall weight below three tonnes or AGM batteries which are a little less expensive but take the overall weight above three tonnes. Either battery pack can be quickly removed and replaced for charging, or shipping if desired. New chassis mounted fork pockets make for easier loading or cross site transport.

Bibi 1090-BL Primo
Another new product on display was a crane, not a spider crane but tracked, self-levelling pick & carry crane, the T-Crane 1060, with a 990kg maximum capacity at 3.5 metres, a lift height of 7.7 metres and a maxium raius of 6.11 metres at which point it has a coacity of 450kg.
