Liftex opens in Liverpool

Liftex, the annual conference and exhibition of the Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA) opened today in Liverpool, UK, and continues again tomorrow - Wednesday. Go to our Events area for details.

While there were a few industrial and spider crane exhibitors such as GGR, Hird and Foster Cranes, the vast majority of companies exhibiting are lifting a rigging gear suppliers. The visitor numbers were thought to be up slightly on last year, with most exhibitors happy with the interest they showed.

The Multitool handler has several attachments with grab, hook , fork or vacuum handler and is capable of 200 degrees of tilt, 95 degrees of swivel and continuous tool rotation

Hird launched the new 415kg Winlet 400TLS glass handling robot with a 3m lift height and just over 1m forward reach

The overall width of the 400 TL is 860mm, the vacuum head can handle glass, granite, wood, concrete panels or fire doors

The Hird stand was staffed by Glyn Goodwin and Dan Holgate. Goodwin said: “The 400 is a good addition with its double hydraulic boom, full hydraulic head and two different types of controllers, a mac dual function controller and a Psac - Proportional single access controller.”
