UK based rental company GTAccess has opened a new depot in Bodmin, Cornwall, covering the south west of England.
The facility will be led by depot manager Andy Tudge, a foreman and service engineer who has been with the company for a little over seven years and was looking to relocate to Cornwall, having joined the company from South West based Prolift in 2014/Loxam.
The Bodmin depot, located in St Columb between Bodmin and Newquay, is the company’s 12th, and is very much a startup operation, with three staff currently based there with an office and yard, with plans to recruit more staff as the business develops.
Managing director Jonathan Till said: “We are delighted that our new depot will be able to expand our services into the South West Cornwall area and will build on it as it progresses.”
GTAccess can trace its roots in the access business back more than 40 years and based in the English Midlands with 152 staff running a fleet of more than 3,000 platforms from 12 locations across the midlands, south east England and south Wales. It is also a member of the Access Alliance of independently owned regional access rental companies and an IPAF accredited training provider.

A great company and nice to see expansion being done in the right way. Not quite the regional business it once was and looking more and more like a National Player.
Good luck to the team, many have tried to crack the South West and never quite made it with feast and famine in the Powered Access market in this area.
