Snorkel has started installing the European production line for the CE version of its new 13ft micro scissor lift, the S3013 Mini.
The lift seen on the Snorkel stand at Conexpo last year, offers a 5.8 metre working height with drive at full height and a platform capacity of 272kg. Overall width is 760mm, with an overall length of 1.44 metres and closed height of 1.86 metres with guardrails in place. The unit weighs 815kg.
The new scissor lift has a 610mm deck extension and is powered by a choice of lithium battery or two 12 volt maintenance free AGM batteries. Other features include direct electric wheel motor drive and electric steering, limiting the hydraulics to the lift function, which employs a self-contained hydraulic cylinder – so no hydraulic hoses on the machine.
The CE version of the S3013 Mini will be built at Snorkel’s UK plant in Washington, Northeast England, where the production is being set up with the plan to ship the first European units from April 24th. Production of the Ansi version began in the US last year. The first unit will be on display at the UK Executive Hire Show in February - See our events section for details and links
David Graham of Snorkel said: “Our team has put a lot of work into ensuring this model exceeds our customer requirements and has some unique features suited to the environment it’ll be used in. Initial customer feedback has been excellent and we’re looking forward to production starting in April with more new models to be announced throughout the year.”
