Italian tower crane manufacturer Raimondi has appointed Tecno Edicasa as it official dealer for the Veneto region of Italy.
Based Campodarsego on the north side of Padua. The Tecno group includes the tower crane rental, installation and service division Tecno Crane which runs a fleet of 150 cranes including some of Raimondi's most popular models, such as the 10 tonne MRT159 and the five tonne MRT84. The new Tecno Edicasa business will be a dedicated sales operation within Tecno Crane.
Raimondi chief executive Luigi Maggioni said: “Raimondi recognises the pivotal role of a trusted dealership network, by leveraging Tecno Crane’s extensive experience and expertise in serving customers in the Veneto Region. We aim to enhance accessibility to our products and to better meet customer’s demand in the territory.”
The dealership agreement coincided with the erection of the first 10 tonne Raimondi T187 flat top tower crane in Italy, to work on a nine storey residential building in Milan. It is rigged with a 65 metre jib, a freestanding height of 42 metres and a jib tip capacity of 2.09 tonnes.
The T187 - launched at Bauma 2022 - has a maximum capacity of 10 tonnes in two fall configuration, with a maximum jib length of 67.5 metres with a jib tip capacity of 1.6 tonnes. The crane is equipped with a new Lumina X cab, which is one of the largest on the market with a height of 2.14 metres and a length of 2.28 metres and is equipped with a fridge and Bluetooth audio system. It also incorporates a new control system which the company has dubbed ConCore, with a 10 inch display screen.

Nicola Pizzeghello of Tecno Crane said: “We are proud to be the first rental fleet company in Italy to deploy the Raimondi T187. The crane is high performing and fitted with Raimondi’s ConCore control system. We considered a number of performance and operations specifications ahead of renting the machine to Coperativa La Torrazza, contractor of the project.”
“We value Raimondi, a European heritage company, for its high-performance product development, superior design engineering, and enhanced after sales support. Tecno Crane is planning to expand our fleet with new Raimondi models, particularly from the T Series range, as the modularity of parts and interchangeability of the jib elements are great assets from a commercial perspective.”
