Italian crane manufacturer Locatelli is to launch a new 100 tonne Rough Terrain crane - the Gril 110.100 - at Intermat next week. Currently the company’s largest Rough Terrain is the 80 tonne Gril 87.80. Note Locatelli's nomenclature system uses the maximum capacity in US tons, followed by metric tonnes - thus 110 tons in North America and 100 tonnes in most other markets.

We have not yet seen a specification sheet, but the new two axle crane features a five section 47 metre main boom, a new easy to use ‘Locasystem’ Load Moment Indicator with 10 inch touch screen, variable outrigger settings including asymmetric set up and a new generation wider and more comfortable cab with standard electric climate control system. The maximum travel speed is 30kph.
The company claims that the new crane will be the “strongest heavy duty crane ever seen in the capacity of 110 tons, with the best lifting charts in its class.”
